AMANAH ALPHA

Sharia RegTech · Digital assets

Continuous Sharia mandate assurance for digital-asset products.

Amanah Alpha turns human-approved Sharia mandates into machine-readable controls — and verifies, event by event, that digital-asset products stay inside them.

Verifiable evidence that Sharia-governed digital-asset products operate within the mandates humans approved.

The problem

The compliance gap

Sharia approval is static, but digital-asset markets never sleep.

Today, Sharia boards and investment committees can approve a digital-asset product before launch — but they cannot continuously verify whether the product remains within mandate once operations begin.

Approved mandate

Which rules were actually approved?

Backtest & research drift

Were strategies tested under the same approved mandate?

Operational drift

Did paper or live operations move outside mandate limits?

Fees, balances & exposure

Did margin, lending, funding or interest-bearing balances appear?

Tampered audit trails

Can records be proven without later modification?

Without continuous evidence, Sharia-governed digital-asset products rely on periodic human reviews while risks occur event by event.

The solution

Mandates become controls. Operations become evidence.

A read-only assurance loop under the customer's own governance.

Amanah Alpha turns human-approved Sharia mandates into deterministic controls and continuously evaluates digital-asset product activity against them.

Amanah Alpha does not issue fatwas or manage assets — it proves how a product behaved against the mandate humans approved.
1

Human-approved mandate

A Sharia advisor or investment committee defines the rules.

2

Mandate-as-Code

Rules become versioned, machine-readable controls.

3

Read-only evaluation

Synthetic events are checked outside execution, in the demonstrator.

4

Reviewer workflow

Ambiguous or incomplete cases are routed to human review.

5

Evidence Passport

State logs are cryptographically linked for tamper-evident auditing.

How it works

A read-only layer that turns activity into verifiable evidence.

Initial deployment does not route trades or hold assets — it verifies what happened, under which mandate, and whether the record can be replayed.

01

Human-approved mandate

A Sharia advisor or investment committee approves the product rules.

02

Mandate-as-Code

Rules are converted into versioned, machine-readable controls.

03

Read-only data mirror

Orders, fills, fees, balances and venue data are mirrored from synthetic demo inputs; no live connectors exist yet.

04

Deterministic policy engine

Every event is designed to be classified by a deterministic, versioned rule set.

05

Evidence graph & reconciliation

Mandate version, data snapshot, orders, fills, fees, balances and reviewer decisions are linked.

06

Evidence Passport & verification

A human-readable Passport and machine-readable proof package are produced; hashes link the record.

Four deterministic decision states

ALLOW — permitted DENY — prohibited REVIEW REQUIRED — ambiguous UNVERIFIABLE — missing evidence

Fail-safe by design: missing evidence, non-effective mandates or internal failures can never produce ALLOW.

Continuous means every new event, data update or mandate change is re-evaluated in the demonstrator's replay model.

Why Qatar

Built in Doha, for Qatar first — then the Gulf.

Amanah Alpha plans to establish under the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) — serving QFC Lab participants and regulated institutions first, with a long-term expansion path across the GCC.

QFC Digital Assets Framework (2024)

Legal recognition of tokens as property, a tokenisation process and a licensing regime for token service providers — one of the region's clearest digital-asset rulebooks.

QFC Digital Assets Lab

A dedicated digital-asset ecosystem in Doha, supported by the Qatar Central Bank, where companies build tokenisation and institutional digital-asset services.

A growing family-wealth hub

A dedicated QFC single-family-office framework and active programmes with the family-office community make Qatar a natural home for Sharia-governed digital-asset governance.

Common-law business environment

English common law framework, independent courts, 100% foreign ownership, a 10% corporate tax rate with exemptions, and full profit repatriation.

2024 The QFC Digital Assets Framework came into force — the regulatory foundation Amanah Alpha is designed around.

Where we fit

QFC Lab participants and regulated institutions building tokenized products need Sharia governance that is continuous, evidenced and auditable. Amanah Alpha provides that assurance layer — from mandate codification to tamper-evident reporting for Sharia boards. Regulated digital-asset institutions follow, and GCC-wide expansion is the long-term path.

Who we serve

From QFC Lab participants to regulated digital-asset platforms.

Amanah Alpha is the assurance layer underneath — your Sharia board keeps authority, and we make its decisions verifiable, continuously.

Family offices & family businesses

Govern your family's digital-asset ventures with codified Sharia mandates, continuous assurance and board-ready evidence — starting in Qatar.

Regulated digital-asset institutions

Issuers, brokers, wealth platforms, and RWA & tokenized-sukuk platforms launching Sharia-governed products under regulatory scrutiny.

Sharia advisory & assurance firms

Offer continuous monitoring white-label to your clients and cut digital-asset review time dramatically — under your own brand.

Islamic banks & funds

Digital-asset units that need evidence-backed Sharia governance for tokenisation projects and algorithmic strategies.

Competitive positioning

Existing solutions screen assets or audit periodically. Amanah Alpha verifies mandate behaviour across the full lifecycle.

Illustrative positioning of public categories — not an assessment of these vendors.
Category Examples Core limitation
Sharia screening Zoya, Islamicly, IdealRatings Assesses assets, not strategy behaviour
Sharia advisory Amanie, Shariyah Review Bureau Strong expertise, but workflows remain mostly human and periodic
Crypto compliance Chainalysis, Elliptic Focused on AML and address risk
Generic investment compliance Pre/post-trade institutional tools No Sharia mandate or evidence-graph vertical

The Amanah Alpha difference

Versioned rule packs + synthetic conformance corpus + embedded reviewer workflows + replayable evidence infrastructure. A policy engine or a blockchain hash alone is never a true moat — defensibility lies in the deep, continuous orchestration of the full lifecycle.

Inside the QSTP Sprint research

Week 1

Mandate codification

Your Sharia board's rules become a versioned mandate rule-pack — assets, leverage, lending, balances.

Week 2

Read-only connection

A synthetic demo review — no live connection, no custody, no changes to any execution path.

Weeks 3–4

Discovery evaluation

Every event is classified against the mandate; ambiguous cases flow through the human reviewer workflow.

Handover

Evidence you can verify

An Evidence Passport, a replay bundle and findings your Sharia board can independently re-verify.

FAQ

Questions we are asked first.

Do you issue fatwas or manage assets?

No. Amanah Alpha is an assurance layer only — it never issues fatwas, holds custody, signs transactions or executes trades. Sharia authority stays with your board; we make its decisions verifiable.

What exactly is a mandate?

The rules a Sharia advisor or investment committee approves for a product — permitted assets, leverage, lending, balances and more. Amanah Alpha turns them into versioned, machine-readable controls.

Does the read-only layer slow down trading?

No. Evaluation runs off the execution path and never touches execution, so it adds no latency to any execution path.

What data do you need to connect?

The demonstrator runs on synthetic sandbox data; no live connection is offered yet.

Why is Amanah Alpha establishing in Qatar?

The QFC offers a Digital Assets Framework (2024), a Digital Assets Lab supported by the Qatar Central Bank, a dedicated single-family-office regime and common-law courts — and QFC Lab participants and regulated asset managers are the first discovery targets. GCC expansion follows.

Can our Sharia board verify the results independently?

Yes. The Evidence Passport carries per-file hashes and a manifest root digest, and the deterministic verifier replays the same inputs to the same decision.
